NOTHING MORE is one of rock’s most electrifying bands. They blend a full-on assault with soaring melodies and unique soundscapes in songs that unflinchingly embrace raw emotion. The boundary-pushing 3x-Grammy-nominated outfit—Jonny Hawkins (vocals), Mark Vollelunga (guitar), Daniel Oliver (bass), and Ben Anderson (drums)—today (March 28) have released the deluxe edition of their acclaimed 2024 album CARNAL across all digital outlets via Better Noise Music.
When you talk to Mark Vollelunga of Nothing More, you’re not just talking to a guitarist—you’re talking to a man who treats music like a full-contact sport and a spiritual calling at the same time. And in this latest episode of Artists with Adam, we dug deep into what keeps this band burning after two decades of pushing boundaries.
Mark told Adam about the program Nothing More has teamed up with called K9s For Warriors. It is the nation’s leading provider of highly trained Service Dogs for Veterans with invisible wounds of war. As a part of its mission, K9s’ Station Dog program partners with law enforcement and first responder agencies to provide reliable, high quality therapy dogs that offer emotional support to officers, firefighters, dispatchers, victims, and others exposed to trauma in the line of duty. Every day in the U.S., approximately 20 Veterans take their own lives, while more than 1,000 dogs are euthanized. Determined to end Veteran suicide, K9s For Warriors provides highly-trained Service Dogs—many of them rescues—to military Veterans suffering from PTSD or traumatic brain injury at no financial cost to the Veteran. Since 2011, K9s For Warriors has graduated more than 1,000 Warriors and rescued more than 2,000 dogs.
