When America was celebrating its bicentennial in 1976, a band from Athens, Georgia was forming that would soon take the music world by storm. Still going strong and currently on tour, the B-52s continue to entertain music fans. Go to any 80’s and 90’s party nights and you will likely hear their popular songs like Rock Lobster, Private Idaho, Roam, and Love Shack. The band was a favorite of John Lennon’s when the B-52s were developing their unique sound in the late 70’s and early 80’s.
