Tauheed Epps, professionally known as 2 Chainz, is an American rapper, songwriter, and actor born and raised in College Park, Georgia. He first gained recognition as one-half of the Southern hip-hop duo Playaz Circle, performing alongside hometown rapper Earl "Dolla Boy" Conyers. The duo's breakthrough moment came with their 2007 debut single "Duffle Bag Boy," which introduced their distinctive sound to a wider audience. Signed to Ludacris' Disturbing tha Peace label, Playaz Circle helped establish themselves as important voices in the Georgia hip-hop scene, blending regional pride with skillful lyricism that would define their era.
Over his career, 2 Chainz has released an impressive body of work that demonstrates his range and staying power in hip-hop.
