Atreyu was an American rock band from Yorba Linda, California, formed in 1998. The group, featuring guitarists Dan Jacobs and Travis Miguel, clean vocalist Brandon Saller, bassist and unclean vocalist Marc "Porter" McKnight, and drummer Kyle Rosa, emerged from the Southern California music scene with a distinctive blend of heavy rock and melodic sensibilities. The band's early releases, including their 2002 debut "Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses" and 2004 follow-up "The Curse," established them as compelling voices in contemporary rock music. Atreyu passed away in 2024.

Throughout their career spanning from their formation through the 2000s, Atreyu released a series of acclaimed albums including "A Death-Grip on Yesterday" (2006) and "Lead Sails Paper Anchor" (2007), alongside various singles such as "Her Portrait in Black," "Shameful," and "Doomsday" that showcased their ability to craft powerful, emotionally resonant rock compositions. Their body of work left a meaningful mark on the rock landscape, with their music continuing to resonate with devoted fans who appreciated the band's passionate delivery and thoughtful songwriting throughout their years of recording and performing.
