Sir Barry Alan Crompton Gibb was born on September 1, 1946, on the Isle of Man and went on to become one of the most influential musical voices of the twentieth century. Along with his younger fraternal twin brothers Robin and Maurice, he founded the Bee Gees, one of the most commercially successful groups in the history of popular music. Barry passed away in 2023. Known for his extraordinary wide vocal range and his distinctive far-reaching high-pitched falsetto, Gibb helped define the sound of multiple generations. His career as a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter spanned over seven decades, during which he crafted some of the era's most memorable melodies and harmonies.
