Brian Cadd was an Australian singer-songwriter, keyboardist, producer, and record label founder whose career spanned over five decades. Born in Perth on November 29, 1946, Cadd built his musical foundation as a member of influential bands including the Groop, Axiom, the Bootleg Family Band, and notably with the Flying Burrito Brothers during his time in America. He briefly performed under the pseudonym Brian Caine when joining the Groop in late 1966, before establishing himself as a solo artist in 1972. A staple of Australian entertainment who also worked extensively throughout Europe and the United States, Cadd passed away in 2023.

Throughout the early 1970s, Cadd achieved remarkable commercial success, securing four Australian top-20 singles and three top-20 albums. His work as both a performer and producer helped shape the Australian music landscape during a transformative era. As a keyboardist and songwriter, he demonstrated remarkable versatility across multiple genres and collaborative projects, earning respect from peers and audiences alike.
