About

Dru Hill was an American R&B boy band that emerged from Baltimore in 1992, founded by Tamir "Nokio the N-Tity" Ruffin. The group's lineup featured lead singer Mark "Sisqó" Andrews alongside Larry "Jazz" Anthony and James "Woody" Green, whose collective artistry blended soul, hip hop soul, and gospel influences into a distinctive sound. Rising to prominence in the late 1990s, Dru Hill quickly established themselves as one of the era's most compelling vocal acts, earning widespread recognition for their sophisticated arrangements and heartfelt delivery.

Throughout their recording career, Dru Hill released four studio albums beginning with their self-titled debut in 1996, followed by Enter the Dru (1998), Dru World Order (2002), and InDRUpendence Day (2010). The group achieved remarkable commercial success, securing seven Billboard Hot 100 top 40 hits, with their most beloved singles being "In My Bed," "Never Make a Promise," and "How Deep Is Your Love." These songs showcased the band's ability to craft emotionally resonant ballads and grooves that resonated deeply with listeners, cementing their place as influential voices in late 1990s R&B and leaving an enduring impact on the genre.
