Frederick Segrest, known professionally as Freddie Hart, was an American country musician and songwriter who became one of the genre's most enduring voices. Hart charted singles consistently from 1953 through 1987, building a career defined by authenticity and staying power in an ever-evolving musical landscape. His breakthrough moment came with the chart-topping country song "Easy Loving," a composition that transcended genre boundaries to become his lone pop hit and captured the hearts of audiences far beyond country radio.
