Jason Isbell is an American singer-songwriter widely recognized as one of the best contemporary songwriters in his genre. Known for his honest, emotional lyrics, Isbell began his career as a member of Drive-By Truckers, where he spent six formative years from 2001 to 2007. After departing the acclaimed Southern rock band, he embarked on a solo path, establishing himself as a distinctive voice in American roots music.
