About

Jude Cole is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Carbon Cliff, Illinois, whose career spans decades of musical innovation. Beginning as part of Moon Martin's backing group the Ravens, Cole quickly established himself as a talented musician, joining the English power pop band the Records by age 19. His work on their 1980 album Crashes caught the attention of industry executives, leading to a recording contract with Reprise Records. This early foundation set the stage for a solo career that would showcase his skills as both performer and craftsman across multiple albums throughout the late 1980s and 1990s.

Beyond his solo endeavors, Cole proved himself an invaluable creative force in the alternative rock landscape, particularly through his prolific work as a producer and songwriter for the band Lifehouse. He was credited on many of their defining singles throughout the 2000s, including "You and Me," "First Time," "Whatever It Takes," and "Halfway Gone," each of which achieved significant commercial success on the Billboard Hot 100 and multiple specialized charts. His ability to craft compelling songs and nurture emerging talent demonstrated a deep understanding of contemporary rock music, solidifying his legacy as both an accomplished artist and influential behind-the-scenes collaborator.
