Juliana Hatfield is an American musician and singer-songwriter from the Boston area whose career has spanned decades of creative exploration across indie rock. She first gained attention as a member of the influential bands Blake Babies, Some Girls, and the Lemonheads before stepping into the spotlight as a solo artist and frontwoman. In the mid-1990s, Hatfield founded The Juliana Hatfield Three alongside bassist Dean Fisher and drummer Todd Philips, a collaboration that would define a pivotal chapter of her artistic journey and introduce her music to a wider audience.

With The Juliana Hatfield Three, Hatfield achieved her most commercially successful period, releasing the critically acclaimed album Become What You Are in 1993, which featured the memorable singles "My Sister" and "Spin the Bottle". Her prolific output as a solo artist speaks to her unwavering commitment to music, with 19 studio albums, 3 EPs, and 6 soundtrack albums to her name. The Juliana Hatfield Three reunited in the mid-2010s, allowing new generations to experience her distinctive voice and songwriting.
