Zane Copeland Jr., known professionally as Lil' Zane, is an American rapper who emerged in the hip-hop landscape at the turn of the millennium. His breakthrough came with the 2000 single "Callin' Me," a track that resonated with audiences and climbed to number 20 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming his signature entry on the chart. The success of this single opened doors for the young artist, leading to a recording contract with Priority Records. That same year, Lil' Zane released his debut studio album, Young World: The Future, which introduced listeners to his style and established him as an emerging voice in rap.

Following his initial breakthrough, Lil' Zane continued to record and release music throughout the 2000s and beyond. Priority Records released his second studio album, The Big Zane Theory, in 2003, though it did not achieve the commercial success of his debut. After parting ways with Priority Records, Lil' Zane remained active in his musical pursuits, releasing projects including Under the Radar and Tha Return during the mid-2000s.
