Lou Gramm is an American rock vocalist and songwriter born in Rochester, New York on May 2, 1950. He began his musical journey in 1970 when he formed the group Black Sheep with his brother, establishing himself as both a drummer and vocalist. Gramm's breakthrough came in 1976 when he co-founded the rock band Foreigner, stepping into the role of original frontman. His powerful voice and dynamic stage presence became central to the band's identity, helping to define the sound of arena rock during a transformative era in popular music.

As the co-founder and original frontman of Foreigner from 1976 to 1990 and again from 1992 to 2003, Gramm led the band through numerous successful albums and singles that resonated with audiences worldwide.
