Mike Score is an English singer, songwriter, and musician who rose to prominence as the founder, lead vocalist, and keyboardist of the new wave band A Flock of Seagulls. Emerging during the vibrant new wave movement of the early 1980s, Score helped define the genre's distinctive sound and aesthetic. His work with A Flock of Seagulls established him as a creative force in electronic pop music, blending synthesizers with memorable melodies and thoughtful songwriting. The band's formation marked a significant moment in new wave history, with Score at the creative center of their artistic vision.

A Flock of Seagulls released a series of acclaimed albums throughout the 1980s, including their self-titled debut in 1982, followed by Listen, The Story of a Young Heart, and Dream Come True. The band continued recording through the 1990s with The Light at the End of the World in 1995, maintaining their presence in the music landscape. Beyond his work with the band, Score demonstrated his versatility as a solo artist, releasing the album Zeebratta in 2014. His contributions to new wave music remain influential, having shaped the sound and sensibility of an entire generation of electronic pop artists.
