Mike Shinoda is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer who co-founded the rock band Linkin Park in 1996. Serving as the band's co-lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, keyboardist, and primary songwriter and producer, Shinoda helped shape the sound of alt-metal during one of the genre's most vital periods. His innovative approach blended rock instrumentation with hip-hop vocals and electronic elements, creating a distinctive sonic identity that resonated with millions worldwide. Beyond Linkin Park, Shinoda demonstrated his versatility by creating the hip-hop-driven side project Fort Minor in 2004, showcasing his range as both artist and visionary.
