Neil Percival Young is a Canadian and American singer-songwriter who emerged from Winnipeg in the 1960s to become one of rock music's most enduring voices. The son of journalist and author Scott Young, Young first gained widespread attention as a founding member of the folk rock group Buffalo Springfield before establishing himself as a solo artist. His partnership with the band Crazy Horse became central to his artistic identity, yielding some of rock's most compelling work. Young's ability to blend folk sensibilities with rock intensity established him as a distinctive voice in popular music during a transformative era.

Young's solo discography stands as a testament to his creative range and uncompromising artistry.
