Nikki Sixx

About

Nikki Sixx emerged from the Los Angeles music scene as a bassist and songwriter with an uncompromising vision for heavy metal. Before co-founding Mötley Crüe, he honed his craft as a member of Sister and later formed the band London with Sister bandmate Lizzie Grey. As the co-founder, bassist, primary songwriter, and only constant member of Mötley Crüe, Sixx became a defining force in heavy metal, bringing raw energy and memorable songwriting to one of rock's most legendary lineups. His role as the creative backbone of the band established him as a musician whose influence would extend far beyond the stage.

Beyond his work with Mötley Crüe, Sixx has demonstrated remarkable versatility as a multi-talented artist. He formed the hard rock supergroup Brides of Destruction with L.A. Guns guitarist Tracii Guns in 2002, and in 2006 created the side project Sixx:A.M. alongside songwriter, producer, and vocalist James Michael and guitarist DJ Ashba, initially to provide music for his autobiography "The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star." His contributions as a songwriter, record producer, author, photographer, and radio personality underscore his lasting impact on music and popular culture, cementing his legacy as one of heavy metal's most prolific and innovative figures.
