Paul Molloy

About

Paul Molloy is a British guitarist whose musical journey has taken him through some of the most beloved names in Liverpool's rich rock and roll tradition. Best known for his work with The Zutons, the acclaimed Merseyside band that brought a raw, soulful energy to the British indie scene of the 2000s, Molloy established himself as a skilled and versatile player. He later brought that same spirit to The Coral, joining the band during the recording of one of their albums as a replacement for guitarist Lee Southall, who had stepped away to take a break from the group.

Beyond his work with those celebrated acts, Molloy has continued to explore new creative territory. He is a member of Serpent Power, a Liverpool-based psychedelic collaboration formed alongside Ian Skelly of The Coral, a project that reflects the city's enduring appetite for adventurous, boundary-pushing rock music. Molloy's career stands as a testament to the deep and interconnected world of Liverpool musicianship, a scene that has long nurtured bold artistic voices and genuine camaraderie between its finest players.
