Richard Willis Hawley is an English singer-songwriter, guitarist, and producer whose career has spanned multiple decades and musical landscapes. After his initial band Treebound Story dissolved, Hawley gained prominence as a member of Britpop outfit Longpigs during the 1990s, a period that established him as a skilled musician and collaborator. He briefly toured as a guitarist with Pulp, the legendary band led by his friend Jarvis Cocker, before embarking on a prolific solo career that has defined much of his artistic identity and musical influence.

As a solo artist, Hawley has released ten studio albums and earned substantial critical recognition, including two Mercury Prize nominations and a Brit Award nomination.
