Leroy "Roy" Buchanan was an American guitarist and blues rock musician who became a pioneering architect of the distinctive "Telecaster sound." His work in the blues rock genre earned him two gold albums early in his career, establishing him as a formidable presence in American music despite never achieving mainstream stardom.
