Cheryl Lau Sang, known professionally as Samantha Sang, is an Australian singer who built her career across multiple decades. Beginning as a teenage performer under the stage name Cheryl Gray, she demonstrated early promise before adopting her more widely recognized professional name in 1969. Her breakthrough came in 1967 when she achieved nationwide recognition in Australia following the release of her top ten single "You Made Me What I Am," establishing herself as a talented voice in the music landscape during a formative period of her career.

As her career progressed, Samantha Sang became known as a protégé of the legendary Bee Gees, collaborating with the iconic group during the late 1970s. She released her own interpretations of popular songs, including a version of "It's the Falling in Love" in 1979, which showcased her vocal abilities and her connection to the era's most influential musical acts. Her work during this period contributed to her lasting presence in Australian music history, with recordings preserved in collections such as The Ultimate Collection.
