UTM Parameter Generator for Musicians

UTM parameters are simple tags you add to any link so you can track exactly where your campaign traffic comes from. Use this tool to generate tagged links, then use them everywhere you share your campaign URL. When someone clicks a tagged link, your analytics will show which platform, email, or post brought them in.

Tips for Clean Tracking

  • Always use lowercase. “Instagram” and “instagram” will show up as two different sources in your analytics. Stick to lowercase.
  • Use hyphens, not spaces. Write “album-launch” instead of “album launch” or “album_launch” for consistency.
  • Be specific with content tags. Instead of just “instagram,” use the content field to distinguish between your bio link, story links, and post links.
  • Keep a master list. Use the table above as your reference. Before creating a new link, check if you already have one for that placement.
  • Test your links. After generating a UTM link, click it yourself to make sure it loads your campaign page correctly.
