I know it sounds like I’m doing some sort of English verb tense exercise. What I’m really doing is introducing you to David Knopfler’s newest song “We Go Down.”
He founded most notably the band Dire Straits with his older brother Mark Knopfler, John Illsley, and Pick Withers, in 1977, and played on their first two albums. Since leaving the band, he has had a wonderful career as a solo artist.
We interviewed David last year, but the interview was delayed and then over taken by Covid events. It still is a good interview and we will try to resurrect it this coming year.
