I heard somebody call Stereolab a punk band today. What? If ANYTHING they are a Pop band. Why do we have to have labels for musical styles? Nothing hurts a band or artist more than to get a genre label that sticks. It takes away from their creativity. No?
Stereolab has a new song called “Robot Riot.” Glad to hear the band is still releasing music.
