Not Sue, The Boy Named If, Says Elvis

A Boy Named If | Pitchfork

A LOT of references to unpack in the title of this post. First, “The Boy Named If” is the newest song from Elvis Costello and the Imposters. The reference to “Sue” is from the Johnny Cash song “Boy Named Sue.” Referencing Elvis and everyone thinking “The King” as in Pressley, is just sad.

Elvis Costello has one of the most recognizable voices in all of rock and we are glad he is still putting out great music. This album is one of three in the past two years, that we know of, not including the guest spots he has appeared on. Long live the King, Costello that is.
