According to Wiki, “Orton began work on Weather Alive after buying a used upright piano from a dealer at Camden Market in London for ₤300 ($350 USD) and creating songs by playing notes around the instrument.” As far as a concept album goes, “Weather Alive” by Beth Orton is certainly different. I’ve heard of concept albums on a theme, but an instrument? Yes, it has been done. However, the sound and feeling of this album is really different.
