A while ago, I had heard Howard Stern on his show sing “Hurdy Gurdy Man” with a band he had put together on his show. I knew the song and always though it was great. Howard sounded pretty good too!
Many people don’t remember that superstar Donovan sang this song back in the day. In fact, there are a bunch of songs that Donovan released that are part of the lexicon of music. While these songs fit the times when they were released, only Donovan true fans wouldn’t think them a little odd today. So, when he recently released “I Am The Shaman”, many people didn’t get it. We do. We love it. We are playing it because its good. Period
