Cyndi Lauper
Cyndi Lauper’s career of being a singer/songwriter, actress, and activist has spanned over 40 years. Her album She’s So Unusual was the first debut album ever by a female artist to reach four top-five hits, which honored her as she won the Best New Artist Award at the Grammy Awards in 1985. Lauper also composed the soundtrack for the Broadway musical Kinky Boots, in which she was the first female to receive a Tony award for best original score in 2013.
