Jason Ringenberg is an American musician, singer/songwriter, and guitarist who is the lead singer of Jason & the Scorchers. Ringenberg was born and raised on an Illinois hog farm. He parted for Nashville on July 4, 1981, to pursue his singing career, and immediately formed Jason and the Scorchers. Throughout the 1980s and 90s they toured at numerous venues across the world and became known as one of the most exciting live bands in music.
