Sister Hazel is an American alternative rock band with musical elements of jangle pop, folk rock, classic rock, and southern rock. Its members include Kevin Block, Jett Beres, Andrew Copeland, Ryan Newell, and Mark Trojanowski. Sister Hazel was formed in Gainesville, Florida in 1993 and was named after Sister Hazel Williams, a local missionary who ran a homeless shelter.
