KIX is an American hard rock band that first achieved popularity during the 1980’s. Led by frontman Steve Whiteman and bass player Donnie Purnell, the band’s classic lineup was rounded out by drummer Jimmy “Chocolate” Chalfant and guitarists Ronnie “10/10” Younkins and Brian “Damage” Forsythe.

Interestingly, KIX most recognized hit isn’t a hard driving song, but a power ballad “Don’t Close Your Eyes” containing anti-suicide lyrics. This song peaked at No. 11 on the 1988 Billboard Hot 100 in 1989. This single came from the platinum selling album “Blow My Fuse”.

In 2019, KIX re-released this remastered album and re-titled “Fuse 30 Reblown.” Their current lineup remains the same although Donnie Purnell has been substituted with bassist Mark Shenker. Mark  worked legendary producer Beau Hill to remix Blow My Fuse from the original 24 track recordings.
